So, we will be leaving for a big New Years Party (at the Eurofurence Ringberg Hotel) tomorrow early in the morning, so this will probably be the last entry for 2009.

I wanted to thank everyone of you for your support and all the kind words and comments during the year, of course also for your interest in my artwork! So often I don't find the time to answer every comment, but I very much appeciate every single one of them.
Thank you especially for all the support you gave me when my love Ashati died... having the imagination in my head where she is now playing with your animal friends who passed away earlier, this gives me both tears and a smile on my face.

Also a special thank you to everyone who supported animals in any way - helping physically, donating, raising your voice where needed... no matter where, no matter which species. This is a big gift and I cherish such people very very much. For me personally, that's my only New Year's resolution - doing more to support animals.

Regarding arts... I am currently preparing the new Art CD 2009, which will be available at Further Confusion in January. It's always a nice resume for myself to see what art I did during the year (and finding unscanned sketches etc.). As said, I will be at FC, sharing Dealer's Den table with the always so kind Kacey Miyagami (thank you for that!!), I will also have art in the Art Show again (though I am still very much behind schedule, due to the happenings in December).

It's snowing again. Not as heavily as during the Holidays, but still enough to get excited.
I was hoping that I would get to see snow again before the year ends.
It makes everything so clean, beautiful...better.
Even the broken down house on the corner looks nice now.

Got up early today and went running, enjoyed the fresh morning air and the crunch-crunch of snow underfoot.
I love running.
Because even when it doesn't feel good, it feels better afterwards.
My energy was down during the last 3 weeks and I want it to be up again befor I leave for my trip to the USA. The flight is booked, leaving here in January 15., will arrive in Chicago the next day and spent 4 weeks in the Illinois/Minnesota/Indiana area (WolfPark, International Wolf Center...)
...won't be back befor 15. February. Expect lot's of photos when I'm back; maybe even a travel report.

But still more than 2 weeks to go.
Need to get work done in he design company and finish my new bags; which is quite annoying if your cutting plotter is broken and you need to have someone else to cut out your designs...

I made a Memorial website for my Ashati, including photos and all the memory artwork we received, as well as some words of comfort, like the Rainbow Bridge and a sad but very comforting story (about losing your pet) named "The little red cat" (in German and English). That story is worth reading. May it bring a little comfort to all of you out there who lost a beloved animal.

I enjoyed 3 days of snow, rest and nice company. Has been a while since we last had white winter holidays. In my childhood it always snowed heavily and the winters were vicious.
Guess that's getting more and more rare.
It's raining now.
The snow has melted, the sky is a big gray surrounded place.
Whenever it rains, it gives me a feeling of relaxion...one of my favourite sounds equally with wind and waves...
Already managed to go through all orders and emails, cleaned my storage room and scraped together some art packs.


I guess the rest of the day I'll be busy with commissions.

Want to put some money aside for the trip,
want to get some commissions off my list befor I leave.
Waking up early is a surprisingly good way to make the day seem longer and more productive...

FINALLY it's available on DVD - the Junglebook series (UFA) I used to watch when I was younger. :D All 52 episodes on 10 DVDs. One of the first series which intensified my wolf spleen. ^^

Und lehnt euch zurueck, am besten mit guten freunden oder geliebten menschen/tieren/wasauchimmer im arm... und geniesst die warme glut von vielen, vielen menschen die es sich genausogut gehen lassen wir ihr.

Ich tu es grade. Und es ist grossartig.

It was, and is still a hard time for me, since my dog Murphy is gone.
I have thought about a long time, if I should get a new pet. Well, since Sunday, I have a litle in my home. His name is Damian, and he is a five month old Bengalcat. He is still a bit shy, but it gets better and better. I think I have made the right choise with him.
